Eric Pfeffer, 56, son of Karl and the late Marion Pfeffer passed away peacefully on April 29th. He was a committed son, uncle, friend, and brother to his six siblings.
His quick-witted humor enlivened us all while his observations and wisdom kept us grounded. He felt a genuine responsibility to bring a laugh and to share encouragement with anyone he met. He radiated kindness and practiced optimism with a unique intensity. While maintaining his strong work ethic Eric provided ongoing support to others who were also battling cancer.
Creativity was his passion, and was reflected in his comedy, art, writing, music, and work. His motto was:
“Be nice to as many people as you can, as often as you can. It’s absolutely free. I’ll be nice to you, if you’ll be nice to me. And just like tag; we’ll start tonight… tomorrow will be a better world.”
Eric/Ricky/Otto—however we refer to him–would want us to laugh, be kind to each other, and most importantly, pass along his “positive molecules”. Ding!

Jodi Tolbert Moisan says
My first day of college Eric introduced himself and we became good friends. I got to know his friend Chuck Moisan and ended up marrying him. I lost Chuck to cancer 3years ago and we would often talk about what great times we had in college and hanging out with Eric and the other Thursday Night Social Club members. Eric was a sweetheart and I will miss him being on the planet, it was better for him being there! Much love to the family and Rapper!
